Day 1:

Welcome to Northern Slovakia

Meeting in Krakow/Poprad, arrival in Spišská Sobota, a charming little town with a unique Gothic church at the foothills of the High Tatra Mountains.

Day 2:

Panorama of the High Tatras

Panoramic ride with the Tatra electric railway, visit of the Tatra national park museum. Walking tour to the cascades of the Cold creek waterfalls (Studenovodske vodopady).

Summary: 4,5 hours of hiking, 12 km, ↗ 780 m, ↘ 355 m, highest point 1.460 m

Day 3:

Quaint little town of Kezmarok

Walking tour to the picturesque town of Kezmarok with an exceptional wooden church (UNESCO), the largest historical school library in central Europe (150.000 books) and a steady medieval castle.

Summary: 5 hours of hiking, 16 km, ↗ 140 m, ↘ 180 m, highest point 716 m

Day 4:

On the way to the healing springs

Walking tour from the free royal town of Podolínec to the spa resort Ruzbachy. Possibility for swimming in the thermal water and for a visit in a sculpture park. The second part of the tour leads to Lacková, a small village, known for the traditional craft of basketry.

Summary: 3 hours of hiking, 10 km, ↗ 205 m, ↘ 135 m, highest point 731 m

Day 5:

Rafting tour on the river Dunajec

Sightseeing tour of the former Carthusian monastery, rafting on traditional wooden rafts. Comfortable walking tour through the national park Pieniny and visit of the open-air museum in Stara Lubovna.

Summary: 3,5 hours of hiking, 10 km, ↗ 290 m, ↘  275 m, highest point 680 m

Day 6:

Levoca mountains, St.Mary´s Hill and town of Levoca (UNESCO)

Walking through the remote areas of Levoca mountains to St. Mary´s Hill – the most important pilgrimage site in Slovakia. Followed by the visit of the UNESCO town Levoca, with the extraordinary church of St. James – a must see: the highest Gothic altar in the world.

Summary: 6 hours of hiking, 18 km, ↗ 550 m, ↘ 770 m, highest point 960 m

Day 7:

UNESCO walking route – Spis Jeruzalem and Spis castle (UNESCO)

From the gothic church in Zehra (UNESCO), via the travertine plateau Drevenik to the biggest castle in Slovakia – the Spis castle. From here on we follow the pilgrims on their way through the Spis Jerusalem.

Summary: 4 hours of hiking, 10 km, ↗ 350 m, ↘ 270 m, highest point 634 m

Day 8:


Our tour ends after the breakfast by departure for Krakow/Poprad.
