Day 1:

Arrival to the High Tatras

Meeting in Krakow (or in the High Tatras). Arrival to the Tatras through the picturesque Polish highlands – “Podhale”.

Day 2:

High Tatras waterfalls walk

Panoramic ride with the Tatra electric railway, visit of the Tatra national park museum. Walking tour to the cascades of the Cold creek waterfalls (Studenovodske vodopady).

Summary: 4,5 hours of hiking, 12 km, ↗780 m, ↘ 355 m, highest point 1.460 m

Day 3:
Walking between the High Tatras and the Western Tatras

Walking through the meadows below the national symbol of Slovakia – the crooked peak of Mount Krivan (2.495 m). Visit of the open-air museum of Liptov Village in Pribylina.

Summary: 3 hours of hiking, 10 km, ↗260 m, ↘ 300 m, highest point 965 m

Day 4:

In the shade of the highest peak of Carpathians

Walking tour from the small spa town of Tatranska Polianka to the mountain hotel Sliezsky dom, built at the foot of Mt. Gerlach (2.654 m), the highest peak of the High Tatras, Slovakia and Carpathian mountains.

Summary: 4,5 hours of hiking, 11 km, ↗840 m, ↘ 560 m, highest point 1.670 m

Day 5:

Wooden architecture of Slovak highlanders – Gorals

Walking the main ridge of Magura hills over the Goral village Zdiar. Beautiful views of the eastern part of the Tatra mountains – limestone Belianske (White) Tatras.

Summary: 4,5 hours of hiking, 14 km, ↗445 m, ↘ 475 m, highest point 1.175 m

Day 6:

Red Monastery and rafting tour in Pieniny national park

Sightseeing tour of the Red monastery and rafting through the Dunajec river gorge on wooden rafts. Walking tour in the national park Pieniny, partly through the river gorge.

Summary: 3,5 hours of hiking, 10 km, ↗290 m, ↘ 275 m, highest point 680 m

Day 7:

The most beautiful mountain lakes of the High Tatras

Walking tour between Strbske and Popradske pleso mountain lakes. Visit of the symbolic cemetery – a memorial devoted to those, who lost their lives in the mountains.

Summary: 4 hours of hiking, 11 km, ↗350m, ↘425 m, highest point 1.525 m

Day 8:

Departure

Our tour ends after the breakfast by departure for Krakow/Poprad.
